A dry, journeying June?

With the start of June came time for my monthly reflection. Every year for my birthday in October, I do a Year Ahead Spread, I draw a card for each month and a theme for the year. I do this to provide places to focus my attention, what to be aware of and what to be gentle with. This is the year of the Firefly and the month of the Camel. When I think of camels, I think of journeys and making sure you are prepared to go long stretches without life-giving water.

This was daunting at first.

A month where the element of water might be scarce?

Where access to my emotions or inner world is diminished?

Where the air element of my year's theme dominates the month?But as I've sat with the theme of the month, I've realized it's less about having to ration myself and my access to water. Instead, it's about how I need to be more active in my seeking out of water energy this month. That I'll be inclined to stay in my head and neglect my body. I'll need to return to center, to my motivations and core self more intentionally this month.

It's about choosing ME over... and over... and over...

And connecting with my community & loved ones, envisioning beautiful healing worlds together.
